Arch-Liberal Civil War Buff
Ed Quillen is a regular columnist for the Denver Post who routinely paints
conservative positions with, as it were, a jaundiced brush.
Some of his gems:

agitated for the eight-hour day, which came only after a long and bloody
struggle - and a meaningless one, since it's nearly impossible now to support
a family on one eight-hour-a-day job. Poppycock. If you want
to live high on the hog, with multiple cars and multiple computers and a small
mansion for a family of four, it takes more than one full-time job. If
you scrimp and save, you can raise a family on one full-time job.
